Settlement and reconciliation

Scheduled settlement with line-level reconciliation, so every payout ties back to the transactions behind it.

Settlement

Funds settle to the merchant's nominated account on an agreed cycle. The cycle, the currency and any holdback are set at onboarding and stated in the merchant agreement rather than adjusted quietly.

Reconciliation

Each settlement is accompanied by a file covering every movement in the period: captures, refunds, chargebacks, representments, fees and adjustments, each referencing the original transaction. A finance team should be able to tie a bank credit to its underlying transactions without contacting us.

  • Line-level detail, not a summary total
  • Consistent transaction references across authorisation, settlement and dispute
  • Machine-readable output alongside a human-readable statement
  • Retained and retrievable for the applicable record-keeping period

Segregation

Merchant funds are held separately from our operating capital and reconciled daily. Operating expenses are never met from merchant balances.
